Transporting goods from one location to another
Road freight involves transporting goods from one location to another. Moving products via road freight is one of the oldest and most common delivery modes.
There are two types of road freight:
Less Than Truckload (LTL) is common for smaller size cargo that can’t fill a truck on its own. LTL shipments can combine to fill a truckload saving you money while reducing empty mileage.
Full Truck Load (FTL) is used for shipments sizes large enough to fill an entire truck. FTL also can be used to move goods on a time-sensitive schedule even if the truck isn’t full.
What are the advantages of transporting by road freight?
Range and flexibility are two of the biggest advantages of transporting by road freight. When flexibility is your top priority, road freight is the only transport mode capable of reaching into the most rural areas. Regardless of whether you have LTL or FTL needs, road freight is the most flexible way to handle schedules and volumes.
